The Magic of Physical Mail

Once a month, I curate & create 3 handwritten lessons to help you spend quality time learning German offline, like in the good old days of study letters. 

Of course, I provide videoclips and audiofiles to give you all the input you need to deep-dive dark academia style into the German Language in a way that coursebooks never will.

Because I want us to feel the connection mentors and students used to have when meeting in an inner circle off the clock to discuss ideas, an option to be productive with some homework is included, which you can comfortably forward me via WhatsApp and receive feedback.

Personally, I am a huge fan of sticky notes, old desk-style utensils, and dark academia meets goblin greenhouse core bits&bobs, which is why, in my maxi German Studienbrief, you will get your monthly dose of Hermione from Hogwarts studying in the library directly into your mail.

In the making, it looks like this: I have an idea, create a picture and some vocab or theme stickers and have them printed out by a drugstore. Then I sit down and write out the whole letter by hand. After that, I carefully write it down and copy that version for you. Afterwards, I sit down and film the necessary video clips and audio files. 

I gather and collect real flyers, brochures, keep printed ads and more and scan those for useable and interesting realia to give you an even better real-feel of German in a box. Some word puzzles or similar brain food is also included. Finally, I select stickers and write the items´ names on tiny cardboard cuts to give you a little playful immersion when you first open your letter. Other than that, I spoil you with some beautiful, borderline cringy papers, sticky notes and pictures just to make it cute. 

Find explained what is more A1 level and what would be appropriate for B2, but always be sure that you can do these as a beginner after learning how to read as well. Best fit for A1+ until B1+.
